SWACO Recognized for Making Safety a Top Priority

Director of Operations and Maintenance Scott Perry (far right) recently accepted the 2016 Safety Achievement Award on behalf of all SWACO’s employees at the Bureau of Worker’s Compensation Safety Council Awards Banquet.

Representatives from Harrison Township, TSTech TriMold LLC, Health Care Logistics, and Pickaway County also received awards to recognize the reduction of incident or injury rate by 25% from 2015.




BrBMB Awarding Me Back Wins First Place Award
SWACO recently won first place in the Central Ohio Public Relations Society of America awards competition.

SWACO’s Albert Iosue, Hanna Greer-Brown and Kyle O’Keefe accepted the first place Multifaceted Community Relations Campaign Award for the Bring Me Back campaign, launched in 2016.

The award recognized SWACO for the development and launch of the Bring Me Back plastic bag-recycling program and the positive image and its results in the community.

Long-standing SWACO Partnership Honored
SWACO was recently recognized for their long-standing partnership with Re-TRAC Connect. The program helps SWACO to gather required diversion data from Franklin County communities and submit it to the EPA.

SWACO was the first client to provide the Re-TRAC program to its’ communities which makes capturing and reporting waste diversion activities easy and more accurate.

Re-TRAC Connect now has more than 30,000 registered users.

To recognize and thank SWACO for their leap of faith 17 years ago, Emerge Knowledge (Re-TRAC) President Rick Penner (center), presented SWACO’s Kyle O’Keefe and Albert Iosue with a recognition plaque and thank you for being their first and longest customer.
