Safety at SWACO Transfer Stations

For a safe and accident free visit to the SWACO transfer station, it is important for all customers and employees to follow these simple guidelines:

  • Please follow the loader operator’s directions – they have control of the tipping floor
  • Maintain the posted speed limits (or slower) on the road ways at each site
  • Obey all posted fixed and temporary traffic control devices
  • Address equipment mechanical issues such as blown hydraulic lines, on a timely basis, and avoid storm water runoff and contamination
  • Follow traffic patterns and use caution at corners, building entrances, and exits
  • After dumping, complete the clean out and exit the transfer building as soon as possible, avoid loitering for safety
