Tour the Landfill

Are you looking for a different type of field trip that students are sure to remember and learn valuable environmental and ecological lessons from? Come and tour the landfill. Learn more here.

SWACO partners with many organizations in Franklin County to offer hands-on training and materials to use in the classroom.  Partnering agencies include, but are not limited to: Franklin County Metro Parks, Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District, Columbus City Schools, Ohio Department of Education, COSI, and the City of Columbus Jackson Pike Waste Water Treatment Facility.  Workshops are designed to meet Common Core and Ohio’s new learning standards.  CEU's and/or Grad Credit are offered at all workshops.  Workshops are typically conducted in the summer months.
