Market Development Grant – The Market Development program offers grant funds to Ohio’s businesses that propose to create the infrastructure necessary for successful markets of recyclable materials and related products. Those eligible to apply include Ohio cities with a population greater than 50,000, Ohio counties and Ohio solid waste management districts/authorities. Grant requires sponsorship of an Ohio County or a municipality with over 50,000 population, or a solid waste district authority. Scrap Tire Grant – The Scrap Tire Grant program offers grant funds to Ohio’s local governments, businesses, schools, colleges, and non-profit organizations that propose to create, or expand markets for scrap tires and scrap tire material. Those eligible to apply include any agency of the state, as established in Ohio Revised Code Sections 343, 1502, and all applicable sections of the ORC. Litter Clean Up Grant – The Litter Clean Up Grant program offers grant funds to promote community participation in the Keep Ohio Beautiful Month awareness campaign. Grant awards may range in the amount of $200, up to but no more than $2,500. This funding provides opportunities to financially support litter cleanup activities in Ohio communities. Those eligible to apply include Ohio counties, municipal corporations, townships, villages, solid waste management districts or authorities and Keep Ohio Beautiful-designated communities. College & University Recycling & Waste Reduction Program – The College and University Recycling and Waste Reduction Program offers grant funds to Ohio’s public colleges and universities including branch campuses to increase recycling, reduce the amount of waste being produced or extend the life of waste materials through reuse. Those eligible to apply include all public Ohio colleges and universities as defined under Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Section 3345.011.
