Residential Recycling
If you're a resident of Franklin County and you want to start recycling in your home, congratulations! You are part of a growing number of residents who want to help reduce the solid waste going to SWACO’s Franklin County Landfill.

SWACO provides drop off recycling locations throughout Franklin County. These locations are free to the public and include most Columbus City Schools plus many Fire Stations, Super Markets, and Home Improvement stores around the county. See the column to the right on this page for information on SWACO drop off recycling locations as well as acceptable products for recycling.

Most communities in Franklin County offer curbside recycling as well. In the City of Columbus, it is through a subscription service with Rumpke Recycling. Please contact Rumpke at 800-828-8171 for more information.  Other communities in Franklin County offer recycling as part of their trash collection. Please contact your local city hall or township office for details.
