Outreach & Events
SWACO representatives are available to provide an educational booth at public events to inform the public on the importance of waste reduction, reuse, recycling and the safe disposal of solid waste. The outreach provided also includes information and literature on a variety of SWACO's programs and services such as the ones listed below.
Grants Program
SWACO is working hard to make central Ohio a leader by turning up the volume on issues involving waste diversion and reduction, and provides program grants to put it into action.
Landfill Tour
SWACO offers tours of the landfill to the public, schools, non-profit organizations and others interested in learning more about the steps SWACO takes to keep waste from entering the landfill and to protect the public health and natural resources, and have a positive impact on the economy.
Event Container Loan Program
SWACO's Event Container Loan Program is designed to help Franklin County events recycle materials such as glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles and metal cans.
Tabling

Speakers Bureau
At the request of organizations and subject to availability, a SWACO representative is available to provide presentations on various topics related to waste reduction, diversion, and safe disposal of waste.
Webinars
SWACO routinely offers free educational webinars for the Franklin County community regarding the best practices for improving the waste stream through waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting and safe disposal practices.
