Residents and businesses across the region send nearly a million tons of material each year to landfills. The largest portion of these materials, nearly 60%, is derived from commercial properties, including multifamily housing, schools, and businesses.  

SWACO has programs to help each of these commercial sectors divert waste from the landfill, including a Multifamily Recycling Program for multifamily housing in Franklin County. Through the Program, recycling resources, toolkits, and technical expertise are available for property managers and residents.
