Messer Truck & Van partnered with its neighbor, Visionary Sign, to launch a buildingwide recycling program. With support from the Business Recycling Champions Program, the businesses received reimbursement for their first six months of recycling service. In addition to assistance with establishing service through a traditional hauler, SWACO’s business team helped identify a reuse outlet for unused pallets. To support the program launch, both businesses received recycling containers, signage and customized educational resources to help employees understand what can and cannot be recycled. Their partnership demonstrates how neighboring businesses can work together to successfully increase recycling and reduce waste.
