Superb Bakehouse is a Columbus-based food company founded by Stacie, a mother from Upper Arlington who set out to create a delicious breakfast option for her family. The company produces gluten-free and dairy-free waffles made from scratch using simple ingredients, including cage-free eggs, wholesome grains and real fruit. Why They’re a Champion
Superb Bakehouse has been recognized as both a Business Recycling Champion and a Food Waste Champion for its commitment to waste diversion in its office and production facility. Through support from the Champions Program, the company received recycling and compost collection containers designed according to best practices to help capture more recyclable and compostable materials and divert them from the waste stream. SWACO also provided customized educational resources to help ensure employees, including new hires, understand what can and cannot be placed in recycling and compost containers.
In addition to composting, Superb Bakehouse works with local farms and organizations to donate surplus food, further reducing the amount of food waste sent to landfills. These efforts demonstrate the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible resource management.
