Why They’re a Champion
Turner Construction received more than 20 recycling containers for its Columbus office to help increase the diversion of traditional recyclable materials. The company also became the first business to receive containers for the Hefty Renew Program, expanding opportunities to recycle hard-to-recycle plastics such as plastic utensils and snack packaging. Turner Construction is also recognized as a Food Waste Champion for its efforts to reduce the amount of food waste sent to the landfill. From Jan. 1 through Sept. 30, 2026, the company donated 44,142 pounds of food. Donations were made through Columbus Food Rescue, Elizabeth’s House of Grace and Homeful.
