Thinking about college and wondering how you’ll make it work financially? We want to help.
For more than 25 years, SWACO has worked to educate and inspire students of all ages about responsible waste management, landfill operations and resource conservation. The SWACO Scholarship is one way we continue to invest in the future of sustainability and environmental leadership in central Ohio.
The scholarship awards $2,500 per academic year, renewable for up to four years, for a total of $10,000. Funds may be used toward tuition at an accredited community college, four-year college or university.
If you’re searching for scholarships connected to central Ohio or financial aid opportunities in environmental fields, this could be a great fit. By helping reduce financial barriers to higher education, we’re proud to support students who want to turn their interest in the waste and sustainability industry into meaningful careers.
The SWACO Scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria:
- Students who reside within SWACO’s District or who live outside of the District but are accepted to and enrolled in a college or university located within SWACO’s District
- Be a graduating high school student with a minimum of 20 credit units or a graduating GED student
- Be accepted to an accredited community college, four-year college or university
