Columbus Neighborhood Resident with Recycling Cans

The Franklin County Sanitary Landfill (FCSL) receives just over one million tons of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) every year. Between 60 to 70% of all the waste that comes to the landfill could have been recycled or diverted. SWACO is your community resource to recycle your unwanted items in the most efficient, cost-effective and sustainable manner. From our Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) drop-off facility to our residential recycling program, we have you covered when it comes to information on sustainable waste diversion.

Choose To Reuse

SWACO's goal is to reduce the community's reliance on the landfill and to increase waste diversion activities such as reuse, recycling and composting.
