Kittie’s is a family-owned coffee shop and bakery with three locations in central Ohio, serving handcrafted coffee drinks made with house-made syrups, along with baked goods and breakfast “sammies.” The company works to reduce waste by limiting overproduction, donating unsold items daily and composting food waste, as well as its compostable to-go cups.

Why They’re a Champion
As one of the first Food Waste Champions, Kittie’s received custom food waste containers and signage, as well as reimbursement for its first six months of compost hauling. In addition to composting and recycling, the business participates in reuse programs, including the OKAPI Cup program, to encourage reuse among customers.
