Who They Are
Why They’re a Champion
Joya’s participated in a SWACO pilot program that helped launch the Business Food Waste Champions Program. Through the program, the café received customized food waste and recycling containers, along with educational signage to support proper material collection. Joya’s also helped demonstrate how neighboring businesses can work together to share the cost of food waste diversion. The café coordinates its food waste collection with Kittie’s, another SWACO Food Waste and Recycling Champion in Worthington.
