Happy America Recycles Month

November is America Recycles Month

Communities, schools, and businesses all over central Ohio are committed to using resources responsibly and to diverting waste from the landfill. This November, SWACO is proud to recognize some local sustainability superstars that have been Caught Blue Handed in their work to recycle, compost, and otherwise keep waste out of the landfill.

Recycling, compost, and landfill bins at Worthington Enterprises

From Worthington Enterprises becoming the first dual Recycling and Food Waste Champion under SWACO’s Business Recycling Champion program, to the City of Reynoldsburg and the Indianola Presbyterian Church opening new food waste drop-off locations, and from the Village of Lockbourne starting recycling programs at numerous locations throughout the village to Worthington Estates Elementary School implementing a zero-waste lunchtime routine, it’s not hard to find folks all over our community who are doing their part to keep recycling and compostable waste out of the landfill.
