Last week, our region’s newest Recycling Convenience Center opened in the City of Worthington at 380 Highland Avenue. The new facility makes it easy to responsibly dispose of harder-to-recycle materials such as electronics, Styrofoam, food waste, and motor oil and anti-freeze. Funding was made possible through a nearly-$30,000 grant from SWACO as part of its Greenprint For A Sustainable Future initiative which is designed to increase the region’s diversion rate and foster environmental stewardship through sustainable waste management, community engagement, and transformational leadership. Be On The Lookout
Beginning on May 27th SWACO will begin accepting applications for the next Community Waste Reduction Grant (CWRG) cycle.
